In the morning, you can sit back and watch the rural Moroccan landscape pass by on your way to the coast. In Safi, you'll hop off and go on an exploration of its medina overlooking the city and its port. You'll see the ancient Portuguese fortress and make your way through the maze of alleys. Safi is known for its brightly painted ceramics and you'll come across many potteries selling their goods.
Next, you'll pay a visit to the more laid-back seaside village of Oualidia. You'll first sit down for lunch at a local restaurant, either near the lagoon or the fishing harbor. Fully refreshed, you'll board a boat to see the oyster farms just off the coast. Thanks to the protected wetlands, you'll also be able to see a variety of birds including flamingos, herons and godwits.
