This sightseeing tour will take you into the south of Mauritius where you’ll get a feel for local life and view natural and cultural attractions. You’ll begin your adventure in Curepipe, visiting the Trou aux Cerfs volcanic crater and a workshop where skilled local crafters create intricate model ships inspired by history.
Your tour will continue with a visit to a forest lake of spiritual significance and the towering statue of the Hindu god Shiva at Grand Bassin. You’ll break for lunch in the village of Chamarel, followed by a coconut-carving demonstration. Your time in Chamarel will also include a tasting of local rums and a visit to the awe-inspiring Seven Colored Earth Geopark to see undulating dunes in vibrant hues.
