This day trip will take you to discover two Mayan archaeological sites located deep in the Lacandon Jungle in the southern Mexican state of Chiapas. You can take in the sights and sounds of the jungle as you walk among the ruins of temples and pyramids.
You'll be able to admire the well-preserved murals that cover the walls of one of Bonampak's temples. You'll also get the chance to visit Yaxchilán, an ancient city built on a riverbank that's best known for its Mayan sculptures, stelae and carved stone lintels.
