On this small-group tour, you’ll join a Tibetan guide to learn more about the rich culture and people of Tibet. You’ll visit the Tibetan villages around the Pokhara valley and learn how these settlements were established in the early 60s.
You’ll discover traditional crafts of the Tibetan Plateau, including carpet-making, visit a Tibetan doctor and meet a Buddhist monk to learn about monastic life. Your tour will include a typical lunch of mouth-watering momos dumplings and thenthuk noodle soup at a settlement restaurant. You’ll also learn about the area’s education system and how the Tibetan language is being kept alive.
