This six-hour excursion begins with a thrilling helicopter ride over Lake Te Anau and a group of secluded lakes only visible from the air. You'll make your first landing on Mount Maury to take in the views and snap some photos. You'll then fly to the Luxmore Hut to enjoy some snacks and refreshments, before beginning your hike through some picturesque alpine landscapes along the Kepler Track.
There are various routes available, giving you the chance to attempt a challenging hike to the top of Mount Luxmore or take an easier path down to the shores of the lake. Along the way, your guide will teach you all about the geology of Fiordland and the native fauna. The tour also includes a short cruise to the east side of Lake Te Anau.

An intermediate fitness level is recommended to participate in this activity. If you want to walk to the summit then a high level of fitness is required.
No prior hiking experience is needed. However, you need to be fit enough to take a continuous hike.
