I belong to a family of artists, most of them musicians. Raul Pereira, my father, was founder and singer of “El Polen” (the Pollen), pioneer musical band in the fusion of Psychedelic Rock with rhythms and sounds of Andean and Peruvian Afro Music. That’s why my interest in innovation in modern music and for the spirit of traditional music, its rhythms, its history and its wonderful range of instruments. Throughout my career, my passion for music has led me to investigate different fields like body percussion, construction of recycled instruments, musical theory and sound ensemble. Fields that I have been developing through practice, participating in artistic and educational projects. In recent years I have been able to be part of a large number of musical projects and bands, such as La Patronal and Viento Paracas.
