Departing from the university town of Coimbra, you’ll head into Serra da Lousã, a biological park home to forested mountains and hillside villages. Here, you will explore natural caves and experience the baloiço da Lousã, a swing perched on a viewpoint above the park. You’ll also visit the schist villages of Gondramaz and Aldeias do Xisto, where you’ll find traditional Portugese houses made of slate.
