Together with a small group, you'll visit the Arouca Geopark and set out on a Paiva Walkways hike. The well-developed path with wooden steps is eight kilometres long. Along the way, you'll walk beside sheer rock faces and forested hills, while the Paiva River rushes through the valley below. You can even cross a suspension bridge and access various vantage points.
Throughout the hike, your guide will tell you stories about the Portuguese way of life. To reward yourself after the hike, you'll take a break in the village of Alvarenga. There, you can try local specialities for lunch. You'll be served beef fresh from the barbecue that you can wash down with a traditional fruity liquor.
