On this day trip, you'll be immersed in the history of Istanbul and the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires. You'll begin in the heart of the Old City and make your way on foot to sites like the Church of the Divine Wisdom and the legendary Blue Mosque. You'll also visit the ancient Hippodrome with its Serpentine Column, Obelisk of Theodosius and German Fountain of Wilhelm II. You'll have free time to browse the Grand Covered Bazaar, where traders sell antiques, jewelry, carpets, leather, souvenirs and more.
Having worked up an appetite, you'll head to a Turkish restaurant for a delicious lunch. The second part of the tour will include a tour of Topkapı Palace with your expert guide and a visit to the sultans’ tombs at the Hagia Sophia.
