Apartamentos Caimán Tortuguero is situated in Tortuguero. A fridge and kettle are also available. National Park is just 100metres from the country house. As everyone says, Carlos is the best!!! From the communication to the attention, Carlos ensured our first time to Tortuguero was a great experience. He had a river boat agent, Christian, be on the lookout for us at La Pavona to start the journey. Carlos met us at the Tortuguero dock, helped us to the apartment, and welcomed us with his empanadas. Carlos introduced us to an excellent guide, a born local and educated naturalist, Boa, who provided a fantastic canoe tour and park tour that were insightful, educational, and personal. Boa also speaks excellent English and is fluent in Spanish, French, and Japanese. We were also lucky to see 3 giant green turtles nesting on the beach with a night guide. Carlos and his wife lived right next door and provided daily attention above expectations. The apartment had great AC and all of our basic needs were met. A family friendly area that felt very safe. In beautiful condition, the AC was very welcome with the heat and it was comfortable! We did the tours through the company linked with the property and they were all amazing, highly recommend.

Caiman 3 is a nice, clean little apartment. They also have larger ones, Caiman 1 and 2. Best of all was the owner Carlos and his son Steven, who were more than happy to show their guests around Tortuguero, arrange trips, and everything else one might need or be interested in; Carlos would help arrange it promptly! Highly recommend this place!

Casa Chilamates is a property located in Tortuguero, 200 meters from Tortuguero National Park and 100 meters from the beach. Location, animals wondering through the lot. Gorgeous, lush and green of nature. Awesome and friendly staff.

The hosts, Oscar and Karen, were superbly welcoming and friendly. Our favourite stay in all of Costa Rica! Quiet clean rooms with comfortable beds, individual A/C in our room, private bathroom and good shower. Safe and private. Well-equipped kitchen and a delightful covered patio to relax. We spotted a variety of birds, iguana, and a far off monkey from there. Easy walk to stores, restaurants, the boat dock, and the Tortuguero National Park. Oscar has his on boat with a quiet trolling motor, and he gave us an early morning boat tour of the National Park canals. He’s wonderful guide at spotting wildlife- many birds, spider monkeys, caiman, lizards.

The staff was above expectation. If I go back to Tortuguero, I will stay here, primarily because the gentleman at the front desk went out of his way to answer questions and help me with any issues I had. First rate. Bed was comfortable, air conditioning was efficient. WiFi was strong enough to stream movies and upload small batches of photos. Plenty of space in the shared kitchen area for me to store my groceries. Two ply toilet paper.
