I was searching for somewhere special to spend my birthday and something told me it would be here. I wasn’t even looking at places in Koh Lanta specifically, but that’s where Walden is so that’s where we went. And it truly was just as amazing as I’d dreamed it would be. Walden is a place built and looked after with thought and care, both for its beautiful natural surroundings by the sea and for the people who stay there. Thank you Paul for creating a place that is so true to the philosophy that it’s based on. All in all: clean tiny homes equipped with everything you need; the best host; amazing beach, sea and lounging areas; great locality with massages, bars and restaurants nearby; killer sunset; heaven for animal lovers.

Lovely place very close to Long Beach! The staff are very kind and helpful, and can arrange anything you need in the area. They also made us delicious pad thai when we arrived late in the day! The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are spacious. We loved our stay!

We enjoyed everything. The apartment was big and clean, the location was good. We enjoyed walking every day to the beach. The host very helpful, they helped us with everything we needed, they mede us feel like family. If I go back to koh lanta I will definitely stay again with them.

I had an amazing time staying in Lanta Happy house. The location is so quiet and peaceful, better to have a bike to reach it but the owner also rents them. Rooms are perfectly clean, cozy, great bed, A/C, warm shower, fridge….everything you need for a comfortable stay. Your own patio with a hammock and seating area is the best 😍 The owner is super friendly, always available to anything you need. Absolutely would stay there next time when I’m in Koh Lanta!

This place is lovely and just as the photos if not even better. The location is great ,just 5 mins walk to old Lanta town ,far enough away to feel at peace with nature . Hammocks in the open bamboo decked area overlooking the water makes this place so unique. Serena the host and her family are so friendly and helpful. She can arrange moped hire and bus back to the airport . Nothing is too much trouble . This is a real gem if you want to try a authentic fisherman's hut ,with the added luxury of air con in the bedroom ...

Situated in Koh Lanta Old Town, Sweet Life is a guesthouse located within a historical fisherman village where traditional houses are built on stilts and faces the ocean. Can’t recommend here enough!!! Cute and very clean, near to old town!! Amazing homely feel! Family who run it leave a book with loads of tips on how to make the most of your time there! Nice relaxed place to meet people in shared areas! Honestly one of our best stays on our backpacking trip!! And especially for the price, you can not beat it!!!!!!! There’s a beautiful cafe right on your doorstep run by their friend Sam too!! Highly recommend!
