We had planned to stay in Shkoder for 2 nights on our Albanian holiday. I booked Vila Sela as the reviews were fabulous. The views from the property are outstanding over Lake Shkoder. It wasn't until later that I realised we were not in Shkoder town, but a few km.out in Shiroke! I couldn't believe how lucky we were to end up here instead of the crazy busy congested town of Shkoder. Shiroke is like Lake Como without the price tag or hoards of tourists. Vila Sela is brand new and very modern and spotlessly clean. They have included everything in the hotel style room. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Every room has an amazing view over the lake and Albanian Alps. Highly recommend staying in Shiroke instead of Shkoder which is a short drive away.

One of our favourite stays on our trip around albania. The host was incredibly friendly, making sure we always had anything we needed. The breakfast she made fresh herself with homegrown tomatoes, delicious bread, fried egg and coffee! Was able to park at the location however was difficult to find but the host was very easy to communicate with, assisting us to find the location with ease. Would definitely stay here again if ever back in the area!

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, and the communication was excellent. The apartment looked newly renovated, very nicely furnished, practical and clean. The outside area was beautiful, and the perfect place to start the day with a home cooked breakfast! Lots of fruit growing in the garden and amazing views of the lake. The lake is 2 mins walk from the apartment. We spent most of our time here, swimming, sunbathing, and paddleboarding, and we went on a boat trip. It's also possible to hire bikes. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely recommend Aloha House.

Villa Tvaerde is an amazing place in every aspect. The small villa was wonderful, with modern décor, excellent cleanliness, and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was also beautifully designed and fully equipped. We really appreciated the attention to detail: large and small towels, bathrobes, and a complete care kit including a toothbrush, comb, soap, shampoo, and even shaving tools. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and varied. It can be enjoyed either at the property’s café-restaurant or delivered directly to the room, which is a great option. The staff were very kind, helpful, and cooperative throughout our stay. Overall, it was a perfect and memorable experience. If it were possible, I would rate this place higher than 10.

Lumi i Shales is a magical place and Zgiboze Guesthouse is located in the best part of this. Zgiboze has amazing terrace restaurant, with spectacular view :) Its a very peace and quiet place. At the evenings you can enjoy fire place and sky full of stars. I loved for the breakfast home made fig jam - was delicious. Rooms are very clean and cozy. Each person from the staff is very helpfull and kind. You can really rest in this place and enjoy the nature. For sure i will get back:))

Zamira and Zan are dedicated relatives who were very welcoming and took pride in providing exceptional service.Fatlum the owner was a good communicator who stayed in touch remotely.I can highly recommend Xhaka Restaurant and Marbella Pastry and coffee.Denis mother makes top quality cakes.Home made ice cream and nice coffee.Hairmony Beauty Salon in Skodra provided me with professional services with hair colour,facial and waxing.Would highly recommend this guesthouse.A very beautiful and relaxing location with boat rides to see the birds and swimming in the lake.
