Awesome view on the lake! I highly recommend staying in shiroka instead of Shkodra city. It's a very lovely lake town. The room was nice and the host very friendly.

We had a wonderful two night stay in Noma Boutique Hotel and we wish we had booked more nights. The location is superb, right on the main square with many restaurants and cafes outside the front door. Public transport is within easy walking distance. The hotel is newly renovated and the rooms are very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The beds are particularly comfortable. Each day the rooms are cleaned and the beds made. The breakfast is excellent and is provided in a lovely setting in their second hotel, just a couple of minutes walk. The Manager, Luljeta, is truly exceptional. She provided the best service we have experienced in all our travels in the Balkan area. We very much appreciated her attention and kindness. I highly recommend Noma Boutique Hotel. It provides everything you need to enjoy your stay in beautiful Shkoder, Albania!

Never had such a comfortable bed! It felt like sleeping on clouds! Location is great, a lot of restaurants, cafés and bars close by. Even though it was on the main pedestrian street it was very quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Told us where to leave our car, prepared a breakfast package as we had to leave very early and we could leave our luggage there for several days while we went to Valbona and Theth for hiking.

This place is amazing value for money. Brand new appartments perfect for a short stay, close to the main strip and bus station. The room is equipped with everything needed including kettle, fridge, coffee maker, aircon and a TV. Bathroom is very clean! The owner was amazingly kind and generous, helped us store our luggage and even dropped us to the bus at checkout!

Hosts extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful. Very close to bus station. Included breakfast very nice. Made us a fresh sandwich roll before an early checkout. Very obliging. Interiors design is amazing. Super comfortable bed. Couldn’t recommend more.

Shkoder is a nice place to stay in especially if visiting places like Komani Lake, Shala River, and Teth. You can go on day trips and then relax and dine in the evening in one of the many restaurants in Shkoder.

Little town with no tourist information office and bus...

Little town with no tourist information office and bus terminal. There are vans going to the major destinations which leave from different corners of a large circus. The people where friendly and happy to guide me through the arcanes of this not very clear transport system. There are good small markets with local products and not only. The town doesn't have many attractions save a pedestrian area which is the backbone of the centre. A short ride from the town is Rozafa Castle, Shkoder Lake, Mesi Ottoman Bridge, and a charming canyon with refreshing water. The town is also the gate for Koman Lake, Valbona Valley, and Theth National Park.

We had a really lovely time in Skhoder.

We had a really lovely time in Skhoder. In-Town Guesthouse is a wonderful place to stay. It is right in the heart of the old town and close to shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, museums. It is literally in the beating heart of this nice lake-side town. Great vibe in the nearby streets but lovely and quiet & peaceful in the guesthouse itself. In Town guesthouse is an oasis of tranquillity. It is spotlessly clean, the owner / manager is extremely helpful, kind, respectful and friendly. He is a whizz at getting an incredible number of cars / motorbikes parked in his small backyard carpark. It is very handy to be able to park right next to the accommodation. Thanks a million! Very good breakfast.

Shkodra is truly one of the most charming and authentic cities in Albania What makes Shkodra truly special is ts people friendly,welcoming and always ready to help. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is lively yet laid back and the overall experience feels genuine and unforgettable. Highly recommrnded for everyone visiting Albania.

We absolutely love the city and this time around we went to...

We absolutely love the city and this time around we went to see some place we had not before. I would really recommend the Shkodra History Museum and the Lead Mosque. We also went to the beach at Velipoja which is just 30 minutes by car.

We loved staying in the House of Dreams and wished we found it earlier in our trip. It’s beautifully decorated and so much care and attention to detail has gone into everything. It’s got everything you could need and instead of properties that could be anywhere in the world, its decoration is very Albanian. There’s a nice small balcony and the neighbourhood is great, close to the centre and everything but very local, relaxed and you get a feel of real Shkoder. We wish we could have stayed longer.

We experienced true Albanian hospitality at Hotel Aleks! The whole family is so friendly and attentive. They gave us a lot of fresh figs (directly from their garden) as a welcome treat, helped us organising our transport to Valbona and provided free parking and safe luggage storage during our multi-day hike in the mountains. We also enjoyed the free bike rental to explore the city. Impressive cleanliness, exceptional helpfulness. Best hotel of our three-week journey through Albania!

The hotel is in a good central location on a quiet street, easy walk to restaurants, museums, etc. It is tastefully decorated and benefits from beautiful inner courtyard for eating, drinking and relaxing. There was a good breakfast choice and everything was freshly cooked. All the staff were helpful, friendly and professional. Car parking conveniently located in under the hotel. It was the best hotel we stayed in Albania.
