The host, I believe called Niko, was very friendly and hospitable from the start and throughout our stay. He helped us find the hotel when our maps weren’t working and helped with bags and recommendations. We were provided with a welcome gift as it was our anniversary and this was a lovely touch, thank you so much! Everything was spotlessly clean and super comfortable, I believe freshly renovated. Rooms were modern but the building itself maintained traditional charm and it mixes the two together. Location 10/10. Set back off the Main Street overlooking the garden, it was serene. We had dinner in the garden restaurant one night too and the live music makes a great atmosphere. Breakfast was good too. Well worth the price paid and I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone.

We liked the rooms, the decor of the place - and the hospitality of the staff (all of them were friendly, welcoming AND informative! They are doing a great job of promoting Shkoder as a tourist destination) Parking was also a reserved space right on the main street (don't worry, just park first and inform the hotel staff)

Arrived at Fishta Hotel late in the evening and I was welcomed by an Amazing staff with big smiles on their faces. My room was ready and they offered me a cold drink😁 Very organized The room was spacious and spotless cleaned every holiday that I go my main thing to check is the mattress. A comfy Sleep is very important for me so I had the best of my 10 nights of sleep at Fishta Hotel. Good size of balcony with an amazing view of the sea The breakfast buffet was so delicious with different fresh ingredients every day, very well prepared. Walking distance to the beach 😁 Magnificent Free car parking Fantastic location Friendly staff Family vacation Not Pricey Thank you to all of the amazing staff

We had lovely stay at this small, and very friendly family-own hotel. The staff had a lot of knowledge about the area and gave great advice on what to do (we went on an amazing trip to the mountains, Theth), the breakfast was good with many choices. Our children, ( 1 and 5-year) had the a wonderful week, thanks to the kind owners and staff, (especially thanks to Angela, she was absolutely amazing). Highly recommend!

Beautiful place - felt genuinely wild at times.

Beautiful place - felt genuinely wild at times. The walk right down the valley via the Grunas waterfall to the village just below the Blue Eye walk is lovely. Don’t get the bus/ taxi there but get it back. Restaurant Gjecaj is excellent.

Mountains and hiking but without tourists and crowds like in Theth. Friendly and accommodating locals because most tourists do not stay overnight in Boge. Boge is only a quick stop for coffee then people continue to/from Theth.

This was our favorite spot in Albania.

This was our favorite spot in Albania. It's secluded and personal and the staff was exceptional. Mark had us laughing the whole time and Sando kept us entertained with Raki and stories of Albania. We sat on the floating dock at night and saw every star in the sky. They took us to the beach for the day and we skipped rocks and swam in the freezing water under the hot sun. There was plenty to do at the beach, including zip lining, a DJ, bars, and more. I'd go back in a heartbeat. I'll never forget the friends we made there!

This time I saw Shkodra with different eyes.

This time I saw Shkodra with different eyes. The city’s diversity of people and cultural mix stood out strongly, and over the weekend the lively atmosphere of parties gave it an energetic spirit. What touched me most, however, were the Catholic churches scattered around the city. Stepping into them gave me a profound sense of spirituality and peace, balancing the vibrant social scene outside. Shkodra truly holds a unique charm – a place where culture, celebration, and spirituality come together beautifully.

We stayed at a guesthouse in the mountains about a 10 minute drive from the main village. We did really enjoy being outside of the village as it was a bit crowded and littered. We did have a rental car and felt it was nice to have but there were taxis and group vans all over the main parking lot in Theth to take travelers to different popular hiking spots like The Blue Eye. If you do rent a car, a smaller car is better as the mountain roads are not very wide. Overall, the views are absolutely amazing and it feels like a fairytale little town.

We stayed at the hotel before and after our river tour. It's an excellent place to stay for that purpose and there is an excellent swimming facility on the lake. We didn't checkout additional activities in the area.

Theth is scenic and beautiful, and the hiking in the area is wonderful. But as a village that is new to the tourism industry, it needs to decide what it wants to be - a destination for the outdoor-loving hiker, or one for loud thumping-music-loving weekenders. It can't work for both!
