Amazing hotel, wonderful staff. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. They even upgraded us for free to a newly renovated suite. Very good breakfast too. The reception staff were also helpful in organising activities during our stay.

Delicious breakfast feast, a beautiful old building.

The hotel seems recently renovated. Very clean. Fragrant. With relaxing music playing in reception. Like an oasis in a noisy city :) Close to the market, spar shops and money changer. The staff was amazing.

Amazing hotel with luxury room, with very comfortable beds ,and the best city view you can find in Shkodër . The breakfast was fresh and full of options, friendly staff and always ready to help. Also the guards downstairs were very helpful with getting our suitcases from the parking till our hotel room.

I always look the the reviews when looking at where to stay, and am never exactly sure what to think about a newish hotel that has a really high rating. But The Roots more than lived up the rating that they have. I loved everything about my stay. Originally I booked for 2 nights, but enjoyed Shkoder so much that I extended for another night, and didn’t think twice about staying put at The Roots. When first dropped off in the street were the hotel is located it felt a bit quite and out of the way, but I soon discovered that it is only a 3 minute stroll to the pedonale which actually makes it super central and yet away from noise and traffic. The room was excellent. All of the hotel was located on the 1 floor. As the hotel is quite recent, all of the fixtures and furniture were fresh and clean. The room was quite spacious with more than enough room to move around the bed and baggage with ease. The bed was delightfully comfortable; the perfect mix of support with softness. There was a small terrace/ balcony off each room which I didn’t utilize as it was quite cold, but can imagine it would be a nice place to sit in warmer weather and enjoy a quiet drink. The staff were super helpful; Badr was very friendly and gave excellent advice and help in getting me on a day trip to Koman Lake and Shala River (tip- if you go to either of these places and it is cool in Shkoder, it will be really cold on the river- bring warm clothes for the boat!), as well as helping with taxis, local knowledge and plans for further travel. I loved Shkoder and I hope to return someday. And if I do it will be a no-brainer that I will book a room at The Roots.

Oh I Like Everything About Riverside Komani. The Location, Cleanliness, Staff, The surroundings, The Plants, Boats and rides, The Nature around everything. This Property gave me peace, I felt calm after so long. It was not crowded at all maybe because of my timing. Also, Mark and Sando have been awesome. Such a good beautiful soul in beautiful place. By The Way, Mark Takes The Best Photos, Just In Case you want to bother someone around for your photos.. All the best wishes.. Did I say that, I came for One night and Stayed Two nights??? It is that beautiful.

Hotel located outside the center of Skodra, 15 minutes walking to the center. Staff was amazing, really. They advised us on the trip to Valbone and let useave the car for 2 days at the parking. Also coffee and water was for free. Wow! Tasty breaksfast, made for take away before the trip. Room was old fashioned but clean, fresh towels. We recommend that hotel for stay.

Communication, location, room

I liked the greeting when I arrived. In the morning staff knew I was getting the Theth bus and sorted this without being asked. The tablecloth at breakfast was perfectly white, clean and pressed. Staff smiled! Bikes are loaned free of charge. The room was quiet.

The location of this family hotel is perfect to visit the city and catch buses. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will be back

Lokacija je odlična za izlet na rijeku Shala brodićem, jer se nalazi veoma blizu luke na jezeru Koman odakle se polazi na izlete. Vlasnica pansiona za nas je dogovorila kompletan izlet sa prevozom do luke Koman i nazad u hotel, gdje je naš auto bio sigurno parkiran. Hvala najljepša, jer nam je to omogućilo uobičajeno vrijeme za buđenje i doručak, a i cijena je bila povoljna. Veoma su nam se svidjele zajedničke prostorije za druženje i društvene igre, kao i terasa. Osjećali smo se ugodno i opušteno kao kod kuće! Soba je uredna, jednostavna i ugodna, i (što se meni svidjelo) nema TV, potpuni mir i tišina u prirodi! Doručak sasvim zadovoljavajući, samoposluživanje. Kupatilo uredno i ima sve što je potrebno. Osoblje ljubazno, vlasnica posebno, hvala za sve!

A Peaceful Escape in Nature ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was one of the most relaxing and peaceful stays I've ever had. If you're looking for a place to disconnect from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with nature, this hotel is perfect. What stood out the most was the complete tranquility. In the morning, all I could hear were the sounds of flowing water and birds singing—no traffic, no crowds, no unwanted noise. The peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind, relax, and truly enjoy the beautiful mountain surroundings. The setting is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking natural scenery all around. Everything about the experience felt calm, comfortable, and refreshing. The hotel provided exactly what I was hoping for: peace, relaxation, and a chance to enjoy nature at its best. I had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. I would gladly return again.

The location was very central. The staff were super helpful and accomodating. The breakfast at the nearby cafe was very good. The carpark was just across the road, very handy and reasonable at 500L per day. The shower was nice and large with lots of hot water.
