The facade had us a bit worried for a moment but location was perfect for a wedding we attended a few hundred metres away and inside was perfectly fine. Cleaner had made an error with the cleaning schedule so we arrived in the evening to a used apartment(unmade bed, used towels, etc) however this was rectified promptly and without hesitation the property manager offered appropriate compensation for the inconvenience. Jeanette, the cleaner really helped to put us at ease and went above and beyond and even delivered more supplies including an iron and ironing board the next day. Live plants in good condition was a nice touch. Gives impression that the place is maintained regularly.

The room is a well thought of space. Enough storage, adequate kitchen facilities, clean bath, comfy bed and sofa. There is also ample parking space and a pool. The host was also king enough to let us check in early, which was greatly appreciated as we have been traveling for a bit and needed to rest.

Situated in Dampier, 10 km from Hearsons Cove, Dampier Mermaid Hotel Karratha provides express check-in and check-out and free WiFi. It was a great stay. Lovely rooms with a view. We had a delicious meal as well.
