Facing the beachfront, El Hotelito Perdido offers 4-star accommodation in Rio Dulce and features a garden, terrace and restaurant. I really loved it here. The hostel is located in a beautiful spot and offers a lot of fun activities to do, such as kayaking, a chocolate workshop, or if you’re looking to relax—lying in a hammock or getting a massage. In the evenings, if you feel like it, you can play games with fellow travelers. The staff members and the owner are incredibly kind and helpful. Every evening a delicious family-style dinner was prepared. I have some allergies, and they adjusted my meals perfectly for me without any trouble.

Finca Tatin Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and shared lounge in Lámpara. Among the various facilities are a terrace, a bar, as well as a tennis court. Finca Tatin is a beautiful place to stay! It feels like you’re in the middle of the jungle but you’re also right next to the river. They have family dinners every night which is a good time to meet new people and the staff are soooooo nice!

Boasting a restaurant and a bar, Hotel el viajero is situated in La Viña. With an outdoor swimming pool, the 5-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. What an amazing hotel! We had a fantastic stay during our two nights here. The manager is incredibly friendly and truly goes out of his way to make guests feel welcome. He was always available via WhatsApp and helped us organize a private boat transfer to and from the hotel. He also arranged a tour for us the next day, which was absolutely amazing. Another huge highlight is the hotel restaurant — easily the best around. Many guests from other hotels even come here just for the food. We highly recommend trying the lobster; it was delicious and very affordable. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience!

Casa Caribe Hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a private beach area and shared lounge in Rio Dulce. Wonderful hotel right on the waterfront with a view of the castle. The building is very nice and well maintained. The staff is very helpful. Enrique is the best. The menu is simple but suitable for a few days. Rio Dulce is a 5-minute boat ride away. The sunset is amazing.

I stumbled upon this place on Booking at the last minute. It turned out to be a wonderful place to stay. The staff is excellent - super attentive and very kind! The food is amazing and prices are reasonable! We stayed in a private room with private bath. The mosquito nets over the bed were a lifesaver. The bed was comfortable. The shower and bath were actually outside, which was unique and fun for a few days! There’s no hot water but after a day outside in the heat that wasn’t such a big deal. The location is perfect! 100% recommended!

Situated right on the water, this hotel offered a beautiful restaurant, hammocks to relax in, and the breeze off the water was wonderful. The room was very clean, the shower had good hot water and pressure.
