Could not recommend this hotel enough. EVERYTHING was simply excellent. The breakfast was amazing. We had the dinner only one time, and it was very good too. Rita, the sommelier, was amazing, gave us a lot of recommendations for local wineries to visit, and also the tasting with her was very educational. The room was clean and spacious, we had everything we needed and more

The Houses of History is located on the shore of Belső-tó in Tihany, on a half hectare area, a 5-minutes walking distance from the city centre. We loved the rooms, the breakfast (plentiful and great variety), having a dip in the swimming pool, and our 11-year-old daughter thoroughly enjoyed seeing bunnies and cats on the premises. In the early afternoon, you could help yourself to a refreshing herbal drink at Reception. The place has a lot of charm to it, I highly recommend it.

The staff is extremely nice - we had a small issue when we arrived (our son threw up on the back seat) and they provided us with all the tools we needed to get our car clean again. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcome and washed and dried the dirty clothes for us, which obviously was a very kind gesture. I think everyone can find something good to eat at their breakfast table. But hey we are talking about Hungary and there you can only get good food :)
