While many places have turned these into modern hotels, this place has chosen to preserve its natural and original spirit. Step outside your room and you are surrounded by greenery. You wake up with nature and fall asleep to the sounds of the forest. The environment is kept clean every day, and in the evenings, the young staff sometimes play guitar and sing softly—not as a performance, but as a natural sharing. We stayed there before and after a 4 day jungle trek during the low/wet season. The bungalow was located on the river, right at the edge of the jungle. There are frequently macaque and Thomas's leaf monkeys in the trees and jumping on the roof. You can leave non-food items on the patio (like clothes drying after the jungle), but the host advised us to keep the door locked when we aren't around to keep them from coming in. We specifically chose somewhere without AC to acclimatize to the temperature and humidity, but ventilation inside was good. Porters met us at our taxi to carry the luggage through the village and across the bridge, which was appreciated.

It was a really pleasant stay!! We stayed here 2 nights before our jungle trek and 1 after as we really liked it. You have your own private terras with an amazing river view! The room was very clean and even has a ventilator so you can have a chill breeze when sleeping. The staff is extremely nice and they will do everything to serve you. They have just built a new terras that will open soon and serves cold drinks but even now they will jump on the motorcycle and fetch whatever u want. The breakfast is included and banana pancakes are always a good idea. It is not in the city centre but with a little hike of 10 minutes you are already there and in return you have a really beautiful view and only the sound of nature. In resumé, i really recommend this place if you are looking for something in Bukit Lawang.

Property was clean and overlooked the river view. My stay was excellent, and I also booked the jungle trek with them. It was absolutely amazing, and it was their own business. So it was a small group. Ricky and Anto were great with taking care of us. You should really try this activity! It’s very very worth it, and rest assured you are in good hands.

Great location with a café that serves outstanding food just across the street. The hosts are kind and good company. There’s the possibility to do laundry and rent a scooter. The rooms were spacious and clean and I loved the big terrace.

The location is absolutely amazing, right next to the amazing sea but also in the jungle. We managed to see lots of amazing animals right from the bungalow terrace. Monkey, monitor lizards, birds, butterflies. Our bungalow was sea front, thanks to Robi who moved us after the first night. Very close to the bungalows is Olala restaurant, an amazing one, with a great terrace and view. It s like 50m away. We had hot water as well which I honestly didn't expect. Robi will help you with anything, motorbike rental at great prices, snorkeling equipment, snorkeling trips etc. I strongly recommend this place!

We had a wonderful time in Tailana! The island is paradisiac and it's easy to snorkel around it because there's almost no water current. Also, you can wear whatever type of bathing suit you feel comfortable wearing here. The facilities are beautiful and a great compromise between comfort and adventure. Beds are great, the bungalow was clean and spacious, the mosquito net is probably the best one we've encountered in our trip so far, toilets were always clean, and we really enjoyed the open-air coconut shower. The manager Thomas and his helper Lukas are very friendly people, and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We also loved the food. Edo is such a talented cook, and he didn't mind us watching every step of the preparation of our meals and asking him lots of questions. We would definitely come back to this place because the whole experience was beautiful.
