The reception staff was very helpful and welcoming. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast satisfying. Great value for money overall. The rooftop bar was a highlight — stylish atmosphere, fantastic views, and excellent drinks, with service-minded staff making the experience even better. Everything. Not a single complaint.. Location in particular will be a massive plus to many visitors to the cinque terre. Quiet, yet very central. Easy 5 minute walk from the town centre and less than 2 mins from the station. ( Many properties involve long walks and difficult climbs or descents on difficult stairways)

The property is conveniently very close to the train station. It is very clean and the staff are great, especially Evelyn who went over and beyond to help us print our train tickets for us. She also facilitated an early check in for us. Our room was on the top floor with a balcony, and it was great to sit out there enjoying a glass of wine whilst watching the world go by. There is also a restaurant downstairs where we had drinks and snacks too. Breakfast is fresh and delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the pastries. The hotel operates an honesty system for drinks, and this is very handy if you need a drink and do not wish to go out. It is very easy to reach the beach area by just walking out of the hotel, past the train station and onto the main street all the way to the water. Although the train station is very close, we were not affected by the passing trains at all. In fact, we quite enjoyed watching them from our quint balcony! There are a few outdoor areas to sit and relax. However, were there in the cold weather and did not get the opprtunity to do so. We were really made to feel at home at the Pensione Sorriso, and we will happily return should next time we are in 5Terre.
