Everything from the check in experience, the food, the service. It was winter solstice and they prepared yuzu bath for good luck. They also clean your shoes as they keep them.

The distance from Otaru town was 15 minutes drive away. This property is literally located at the coastal line, a fascinating view from the room balcony and dining area. Breakfast was included, and it was surprisingly appetising as if served at a fine dining restaurant. The property operated since 2023, so everything is in a very good state. Everyone entering the place will need to take off their shoes at the reception, only allowed in their house slippers. There is individual r.emote to control the airon, heater (even for the bed). I liked the high ceiling in the room, that has a loft area to accommodate 2 more persons if needed. The service staff was wonderful and helpful extending help to us with our luggage. It was so relaxing watching the waves and seagulls busy at the shore.

Seaside Inn KOKOMO har havudsigt og ligger i Hakodate, 4,3 km fra Goryōkaku og 48 km fra Iou. Overnatningsstedet har aircondition og ligger 3,6 km fra Goryokaku Park. This was one of the cutest places we stayed in, in all of Japan. The flat is wonderfully designed, clean, the view is gorgeous (you can easily nip out for a walk ok the beach in the morning), the place is calm, there is enough space (we travelled with two small kids). The coffee to selfgrind was a lovely add-on. The flat is on top of the cafe/ shop, also run by the owners, and the food was delicious. There are other food places in the area (sushi just next door was very good), and a 7/11 just across the street. It is a little out of the centre but there is a bus literally 2 minutes away which takes you to the mainstation in 5 minutes - so totally worth it. We had a really lovely stay! Easy check in and check out.
