Kamakura no Nikki is located in Kamakura, 500 metres from Yuigahama Beach, 2.3 km from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, as well as 22 km from Sankeien. The host was amazingly sweet, she showered us in locally bought welcome and goodbye gifts. She was very helpful when we arrived, showing us how to open the doors and giving us a tour of our room. The host was also very responsive when I had questions about holding our luggage. I'd love to stay here again the location was great! Having the small train station so close made it easy to get to Enoshima Island and back to Kamakura station when we left. Kamakura felt a lot like my hometown San Diego, I loved it! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A spacious traditional room. We had an incredibly comfortable sleep on the futons. Delicious traditional breakfast. 3 minutes to the beach and surfers. Nearby are coffee shops with excellent coffee. A very hospitable host.

Located within 700 metres of Zaimokuza Beach and 1.7 km of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, Ano House 女性専用Women's Guesthouse provides rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Kamakura. I had an excellent stay at Ano House. The staff were very kind and helpful from the beginning. I sent my luggage before check-in time and they kindly placed it in my room, which made my arrival very comfortable. They also allowed us to check in one hour earlier than scheduled, which I appreciated a lot. Even when I made a mistake while staying there, the staff remained very polite, patient, and understanding. Their professional and forgiving attitude made me feel very welcome and well taken care of. Ano House is a very nice place to stay, with a warm atmosphere and great service. I am truly grateful for everything the staff did for me and I am sorry for any trouble I may have caused. I would be happy to stay here again and highly recommend it to others.
