I am a designer and the room was just the best, most well designed space on our trip in Sri Lanka! Spacious, lovely light concept, large bathroom. Best of all were the 2 lounge chairs on the balcony. Most comfy space to read.

The customer service was excellent throughout our stay, and the room was beautiful — big, spacious, and absolutely spotless. The pool area was great, and having direct beach access made it even better. It’s a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. I would highly recommend Good Karma to anyone staying in the Rakawa area. A truly lovely place to unwind and enjoy your trip!

Located in Tangalle, 200 metres from Tangalle Beach, Chaya Beach Hotel, Tangalle features views of the garden. Great location, perfect breakfast (mix of local and western) with some of the best fruits I’ve tasted in Sri Lanka. The host is incredibly helpful and organized, with great communication. I got my laundry washed and ready for me to leave in the morning. If I get back in Tangalle I’m booking again, no hesitation !

Offering a garden and garden view, Maritime Nest Cabanas is located in Tangalle, 400 metres from Tangalle Beach and 23 km from Hummanaya Blow Hole. We spent two wonderful weeks in this lovely place — time just flew by. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help with anything — from scooter rentals and transfer arrangements to great tips on what to see around the hotel. Breakfasts are varied and delicious, and there’s a nice, clean pool on the hotel grounds. The ocean is just a 5‑minute walk away, and the nearest swimming spot is about 10 minutes. The territory is well‑kept, with lots of greenery, birds, and chipmunks; we even spotted monkeys and monitor lizards nearby — the nature here is amazing. The hotel restaurant offers excellent cuisine with a diverse menu and tasty dishes. The bar serves both alcoholic and non‑alcoholic cocktails. I highly recommend this place — it’s a wonderful spot to relax, and one you’d definitely want to come back to!

Tango Sunrise Villa features sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Tangalle, 500 metres from Tangalle Beach. This guest house offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace. Very nice, modern and clean place, walking distance to the bus station and the beach. Friendly owners, plentiful breakfast.

Located in Tangalle, 600 metres from Tangalle Beach, Omkara Rekawa provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a restaurant. This was a lovely find in Tangalle. The room was extremely clean and the outdoor bathroom was clean too. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. The food at the restaurant is also amazing! We very much enjoyed our stay here and would come back.

Hilton Yala Resort has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and private beach area in Yala. 21 km from Situlpawwa and 22 km from Tissa Wewa, the property provides a terrace and a bar. The standard of rooms and facilities and most importantly the staff are amazing.

Situated within less than 1 km of Red Beach and 12 km of Hummanaya Blow Hole, Finch Tangalle provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Tangalle. Firrst rate facilities only a couple of hundred rupees to many beaches and the town. The room boy was amazing They even laid on a birthday breakfast for myself and my wife at no chatge.

Set within 800 metres of Tangalle Beach and 18 km of Hummanaya Blow Hole in Tangalle, Hanguk Lanka Lagoon Villa provides accommodation with seating area. Very unique experience staying in a homestay garden villa. Everything was provided in the room, kettle, fridge, har dryer, table, chairs, bed, mosquito net, warm water with good pressure. Even they had a badminton set, a jumping rope and a pad with internet in the room for the guests to use. The surroundings are peaceful with many possible animal encounters and amazing sounds during the night and morning time! Very friendly family running the business.

Set in Tangalle, a few steps from Wella Odaya Beach, Kayaam Wellness offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre. Our stay at Kayaam Wellness was absolutely fantastic. We booked the hotel spontaneously for two nights and were welcomed in the warmest and most genuine way from the very first moment. The food deserves a 10/10 – outstanding quality, beautifully prepared, and offering a great mix of traditional Sri Lankan dishes as well as Western options. There is truly something for everyone. The hotel has only a small number of rooms, which creates a very calm, peaceful atmosphere and makes it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The stunning pool and the direct access to a beautiful, quiet beach leave absolutely nothing to be desired. Every single member of the staff is exceptionally kind, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to the well-being of the guests. A very special thank you goes to the hotel manager Hemal, who went above and beyond to help organize several surprises that my partner had planned for me from Germany — all without my knowledge. Thanks to his effort and dedication, my stay was even more special than I could have imagined. The massages offered at the hotel are also an absolute must-do — deeply relaxing and perfectly executed. If I ever return to Sri Lanka, Kayaam Wellness will definitely be on my list again. Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable stay. Warm regards
