We stayed in a water bungalow for five nights during our honeymoon, and the hotel truly exceeded our expectations. It was exceptionally clean and cozy. We especially loved the food — there was always a wide variety of delicious options from different cuisines. It was a great idea to have an ice-cream bar at every meal in the Maldives’ hot weather. In general, it’s a quiet and peaceful place, yet we could still find plenty of activities for fun. The staff were polite, friendly, and very helpful. A special thanks to our waiter, Husam, for taking such good care of us during our stay. The hotel also gave us the opportunity to see how their operations run behind the scenes and how they maintain sustainability. I really appreciated their respect for the environment and the way they care about employees’ health and motivation through activities and sports facilities. I believe seeing happy employees is just as important as seeing happy customers.

The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives is a unique blend of relaxation, socializing, and adventure, perfect for a romantic escape, a getaway with friends, or a family vacation. It has been the best experience of our life. The hotel, the personnel and all the details that created this amazing week in Maldives. The room was insane, with a huge bathroom, incredible views of the ocean reef and the private swimming pool. The hotel is very clean, excellent service at all times and the staff always with a smile and willing to help. All the restaurants had a vast product assortment, from tropical fruits to western diets for those tourists not willing to innovate. Also very happy they have a veggie option, with interesting light options meals. My recommendation is to book the all inclusive plan and avoiding constantly reviewing prices when in vacations. Something that I would like to point out and not many tourists realize, is that considering is that the hotel is operated in a small private island, The Standard has created an ecosystem of solar panels and electric mini-cars allowing them to operate independently and sustainably compared to other resorts which fully operate with diesel plants inside of the islands. The hotel was also really good initiatives with plastic free, such as removing all plastic bottle, etc. In summary, I can only be grateful for the excellent experience during these days.

Overwater villa was fantastic! Many restaurants to choose für all inclusive. Exellent view. Best beach!

The Maldives was an ultimate dream for me, so this is why my husband and I decided to spend our honeymoon here. I had my doubts but oh my god, this is truly a paradise. 1. Location Only 45 minutes away from Male. I believe this is important in terms of how long you want to spend in the boat. I didn’t want a place too close to Male, but too long destination would make me nervous too. So, in terms of location 10/10. Also, there is amazing coral reef where we saw 2 turtles, mini sharks, dozen of other beautiful fish. 2. Privacy I believe the main reason why Maldives is so successful is the privacy you get. I have never felt this privilege to be completely alone. I didn’t see my neighbors (except for dinner and breakfast). I really enjoyed the silence of my villa. 3. Staff These people are simply the best. I feel if I ask for the moon, they will find a way to give it to me. The island is small, the staff has more people than guests, so everyone knows you. That’s perfect 4. Food Amazing food. 5. Drinks I enjoyed cocktails a lot. They never missed. Prices from 12 to 18. And they can mix anything you like. 6. Nature Absolutely breathtaking nature, both underwater and tropical. 7. Extra Almost every evening we had something to do: the musicians and bands visited us couple times, there are pool, tennis, pingping, volleyball and other activities. Snorkeling is an absolute must!

The breakfast and other meals at the resort were absolutely superb—my family and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Each day brought a fresh and delightful variety of menu choices that kept our dining experience exciting and memorable. They upgraded and provided two separate villas to us. The resort’s location, about 45 minutes away from the airport, added to the charm of our trip. The speedboat ride was an experience in itself, especially on our return journey, which became even more thrilling as we navigated through the aftermath of a thunderstorm.

It was truly a magical place. It was very clean and breathtaking. I loved that there were other restaurants with great views and food. The main restaurant had different themes and I didn’t get bored with the meals at all. I might have even gained 5kg within 8 days from eating so much good food. The staff were fantastic! They all treated us like family and kept asking if we were okay and needed anything. If they notice you or your partner missed breakfast, they’ll go through extra effort to get food to your villa from the buffet at no extra cost. They were so kind to us honestly. Pribin was an angel on earth. Such a kindhearted man. He would go the extra mile for your comfort. We are still in awe of him. Sam was attached to us when we arrived and would chat you throughout the day to be sure you were okay and if you needed reservations and etc. he was very nice. Ronaldo, Bishal and Firoj were such great waiters, they were always smiling and available to give us all we need. Chabin was a sweetheart. She was extremely kind. Bala was such a lively waiter. Full of life and you can tell he really enjoys his work. Martina encouraged us to go diving and she was so professional and kind. Qawiem was our assigned scuba diving instructor and he made it so easy. My husband doesn’t swim at all and he went scuba diving with Qawiem twice. He was that comfortable with him. MAANU was our island tour guide and he did a great job. Such a pro. I could go on and on. All positive review. I can’t wait to hopefully return someday.
