I had the best time with Tony and Daniela, they were very kind, welcoming and warm. They make you feel part of their family and have so many stories to tell. Daniela makes THE BEST breakfasts (I miss them). If I go back to Ometepe I'm definitely staying with them again. The room was nice and clean and at night you can hear a symphony of crickets and other elements of nature due to being away from the city. A really nice experience. Also, there's a beach right outside the hostel where you can see the most beautiful sunsets. It's a bit far from the center of the town (a 20 min walk) which is not too bad, just something to take into consideration. If you're renting a bike like most people do it's not going to make a difference for you, but I was on foot. Fortunately, Tony was very kind and picked me up on a motorbike at the port and took me back at the end of my stay.

The cabin was constructed from sustainable materials. It was really unique and super cute. The space is large and comfortable. It had a view of the lake, and there was a little path you could walk down to the water.

The place is very beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature perfect for relaxing and disconnecting. Carlos is incredibly kind and helpful. He showed me around the permaculture property and gave me some great tips. You immediately feel welcome with him. It’s important to know that the accommodation is very basic: there is a compost (eco) toilet and the shower is outside. If you enjoy simple, natural living, you will love this place. I would recommend renting a motorcycle or a quad to be more flexible and explore the area easily. Highly recommended for nature lovers.

Amazing space...picture.a Log Cabin in a pristine huge lake with jungle in the back of your lodging. The swimming was refreshing, safe, and very private as the hotel is away from the noise. Truly i wanted to stay longer...did two days. Howler monkey families greeted me in the back balcony . The restaurant was delicious at all hrs. The hotel filled with gardens and green areas . I will def come back. Wifi in the cabins was good

Fell asleep and woke up to the waves crashing against the shore every night. There is a gorgeous and spacious back deck with hammocks and chairs and it’s covered from the sun. We spent full days while recovering from long travel or hiking conception just reading in the hammocks and relaxing! The shared kitchen is amazing, has everything you need. The people staying here at the same time as us were incredible and fun to chat with. The host was extremely helpful and kind, quick to answer questions and give helpful tips or help you to arrange things! The price of this stay is incredible! We could have stayed for so much longer!

マデラス火山から12kmのHostal Así es mi TierraはBalgueにある宿泊施設で、庭、無料専用駐車場、テラスを提供しています。 無料WiFiを利用でき、一部のお部屋にはパティオがあります。 Hostal Así es mi Tierraに滞在中は、Balgue周辺でサイクリングなどのアクティビティを楽しめます。 アウグスト・セサル・サンディーノ国際空港まで145kmです。 We loved the relaxed vibe and how everything is set up and decorated, it's really really beautiful and we enjoyed just sitting around on our porch immensely! the location is great as it's away from the crazy hostel stuff but not too far with tons of great local places near by. Getting to all parts of the island from Balgue was ideal as well and everywhere you turn you see one of the volcanoes since you're right in between them. If you turn right from the place you get back into the main hostel area in a few minutes (on bike) and if you turn left you find really beautiful roadways and scenery and you can get away from all the "traveler" stuff. Cafe compestre is just down the street (2 min walking) where you can get a really really good cappuccino. My boyfriend also got a haircut across the street haha. The food they made us was so so so good (our favorite if we HAD to pick was probably the burritos, and they make some of the best smoothies on the island). we were also able to get our moto bike and kayaking through the family as well, and everything was a really good price and easy. On day 4 or so we found a hole in the tire which they fixed in just a couple hours and they didn't charge us which we really appreciated. There was a power outage one evening (it happens on the island from time to time) and they set us up with a candlelit dinner and we just loved that (picture below). The family who owns this are truly wonderful people and we felt really at home, possibly too at home as we were supposed to stay 5 nights and we stayed 9 or 10 😂. I usually got up early and worked a few hours in the balcony seating area with a coffee or smoothie, so can confirm working here is also no problem. For context, I was working fully online building a webpage with large files so internet needed to be really functioning well, and it was :)
