The farm is beautifully kept, and the attention to detail is impressive — the owners haven’t missed a thing. I’m so glad places like this exist in the more remote corners of Norway. I really like the concept, and there are several unique options to choose from, depending on the kind of experience you’re after — from glass cabins to yurts. We stayed in the three bedrooms apartment at Mormorhuset, and it was great value for money.

Patrick was a great host. Very helpful and quick to respond. The cottage was adorable. Like a rustic, cozy cabin with all the amenities. The bed was very comfortable. The view was amazing. And located close to Oslo, but was a quiet oasis. Would highly recommend a stay!

Located in Husvik, 40 km from Oslo Central Station and 41 km from Akershus Fortress, Villa Thorse offers air conditioning. This is a beautiful property in a stunning location that has been carefully designed to maximise the views of the Oslo Fjord from the main living area. The villa was spotlessly clean with comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and a very good shower. Ellen, the host was friendly and welcoming, providing timely communications. Thoughtful extras like fresh flowers and a Norwegian cookbook were appreciated. We would highly recommend this property and would be very happy to return if travelling to the area again.

The location was incredible, just next to a small ferry terminal, but at the same time private. The view is exceptional, and the west facing garden was a perfect spot for grilling until late in the evening.

The accommodations were simple but beautifully designed and comfortable. We wished we could have stayed for much longer!
