This isn’t just a host—this is the **Filipino version of a Sicilian nonno**, serving not just breakfast but **pure family warmth**. Good thing the flight got canceled! Normally, that would be a nightmare, but for us, it was an **extended paradise** on Camiguin. The only mistake? Not planning **a longer stay from the start**. The resort is amazing, very well manteined in every detail. The staff is very welcoming and nice, always happy to support. Alex and Romain, the owners, welcomed us like old friends, making us feel at home. We have also been very lucky as we were the only two guests temporarily hosted in the resort, so we had the chance to enjoy it a lot.

Our stay at Balihao was the highlight of our stay in the Philippines: the luxurious villa with a private pool, the restaurant (one of the best meals we had in the Philippines), the breathtaking view, the overall atmosphere... Honestly, we hesitated at first because there weren't that many reviews, but we are so glad we came. We stayed for 4 nights but decided to extend our stay because we loved it so much. Thanks for the memorable stay; we wish we could have stayed longer! And special thanks to the great team that made us feel at home!
