The owner, victor, was the absolute best and he took care of all of the wants and needs of the group. He cooked a stunning dinner and breakfast and gave us the best details for the hike.

Hostal the backpackers tiene salón de uso común, terraza, restaurante y bar en Chugchilán. The owners are the nicest people in the world who will give you an authentic experience. It was their dream to open a hostal and meet other people with other cultures, so they did this at an older age and combine 4 jobs to pay for it... The facilities are basic but all clean and worthwile the price. Our breakfast was one of the best so far in Ecuador. The lunch box we asked was even more amazing (a big box with fried rice, omelet, vegetables,...). There is a little rooftop terrace where you can enjoy the sun and the view over the mountains.
