We had a wonderful experience in North Sumatra thanks to Sumatra ethical expeditions and their crew. We spent two nights in the lodge and we did the 2D1N trek with our amazing guides Pika, Tenjong and Imuh. We will be forever grateful to them for taking such good care of us, for teaching us so much about the jungle and the animals, and for being so kind. I definitely recommend the experience. We were able to spot over 15 orangutans, many monkeys, including the Thomas leaf monkey and some gibbons, as well as hornbills (similar to toucans). The lodge is amazing, with a wonderful view of the nature surrounding this area. They provided us with transport service (shared or private) from Medan airport for a very good price. Breakfast is good as well as the dinner, all of it at great prices. The atmosphere is very calm and welcoming. Many thanks for such an unforgettable experience!!!

Nos han recogido en el muelle en moto sin esperarlo, ya que debido al tiempo no nos pudo dejar el ferry en el alojamiento Hemos alquilado moto y lavado ropa a muy buen precio Desayuno exquisito y perfecta ubicación Habitación espaciosa y cómoda, literalmente sobre el lago.

La habitación es cómoda y muy limpia, con aire acondicionado. El desayuno completo y riquísimo, con unas vistas increíbles. En nuestro caso, ellos mismos se ofrecieron a recogernos y llevarnos (por un precio muy inferior al de Grab) tanto al aeropuerto como al puerto, ayudándonos a comprar los billetes del ferry. El personal que lleva el alojamiento muy atentos. Pudimos dejar las maletas durante tres días mientras hacíamos una excursión. Nos facilitaron todo lo necesario en cuanto a transporte y disponibilidad.

Toba Boi Guesthouse is a tranquil hideaway wrapped in padi fields and village charm, unless you happen to book one of the front-facing rooms. Then it’s a nightly festival. Rooms either face the peaceful rice paddies at the back (cue frogs, breeze, and existential bliss) or overlook Tataring Coffee & Resto, where a live band rocks out every Thursday and Saturday evening until midnight. Yes, the music is loud. No, earplugs won’t save you. But credit where it’s due.. the band slaps. Think less “karaoke horror” and more “why aren’t they famous yet?” A short walk takes you to shops and local eats, and there’s a chill little beach right opposite Tataring for your morning cool-off or evening cooldown. Perfect if you’re into either deep sleeps or deep bass. Choose wisely when booking—or just bring your dancing shoes and call it balance. Shoutout to caretaker Siska, a sweet, smiley lady who checked us in with warmth and a no-fuss attitude. She also shared great tips on where to eat and what to do, local style. SeaGate Bungalows dispone de jardín, zona de playa privada, terraza y restaurante en Sabang. Hay baño termal y servicio de alquiler de coches. La habitación era muy limpio, cómodo y simplemente idílico. Además tenía una ducha medio-fuera de lluvia muy agradable. Borja y Yuyun son muy amables y atentos! Además de darnos un montón de tips para cosas que hacer en la isla nos consiguieron un pastel para celebrar el cumpleaños que hizo nuestra estancia una verdadera pasada! Gracias!!

Bua Guest House se encuentra en Medan, a 9,3 km de Gran Mezquita de Medan, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, terraza y restaurante. Es sencillamente un joya en Medan y está cerca del aeropuerto. Las habitaciones son amplias y limpias, está todo super bien decorado, tiene agua caliente, aire acondicionado y todo es hermoso. Lo mejor es staff que es encantador y muy servicial. El desayuno y la comida del restaurante es muy buena. Me quede casi una semana aquí por cambios inesperados de planes y sencillamente lo recomiendo muchísimo.

Our guide was excellent – knowledgeable, friendly, and very informative. The staff were all so kind, helpful, and great company throughout our stay. I can highly recommend this place to anyone.
