Our first stop in Sumatra was at Lilly's Guesthouse, where we were very warmly welcomed by her and her husband Ishako. From the first moment we felt welcome and completely at home. We booked a two-day jungle trek. Our adventure began on the second day after our arrival, together with our guide Iman and a French couple, Carolane and Romain. There was immediately a nice click, and so we trekked into the jungle together. Blood, sweat, but no tears - what an experience! Without Iman, the trek would definitely not have been the same. What a top guy! After two days of trekking and a night's sleep in the middle of the jungle, we arrived safely back at the guesthouse. How happy we were to finally shower again and sleep in a comfortable bed! As icing on the cake, we also enjoyed a wonderful massage - how good that felt! After that we wanted to travel on to Lake Toba, and coincidentally that was also Lilly's plan with her family. Transportation was completely arranged by them, and together we traveled to our next destination. Along the way, we had lunch together, took the same ferry and once again shared beautiful, enjoyable moments. In Tuktuk our paths parted, as we had each booked our own guesthouse, but we met up a few more times. Each time it was a warm reunion! What we really want to say: we felt like one of them. Super close to the start of the treks and a lovely view of the river. Staff helped book the tours and transport in and out of Bukit Lawang.

L’établissement Toba Boi propose des hébergements à Tuk Tuk. Cette maison d'hôtes offre une vue sur la montagne et propose une terrasse. Dong a été un hôte incroyablement gentil, il m’a donné pleins de conseils sur les choses à visiter sur l’île, il a été ultra conciliant sur le Check out ! La chambre était spacieuse confortable, et la terrasse avec vue sur le lac est top ! Une guesthouse a ne pas louper ! Merci bcp

Le SeaGate Bungalows est un établissement exceptionnel à tout point de vue : l'emplacement, le personnel, la nourriture et l'aménagement des logements nous ont ravi. Un grand merci à Yuyun et Borga pour leur accueil et tous les bons conseils qui nous ont permis de profiter pleinement de l'île de Palau Weh.

The food was great and the staff were very friendly. They provided fresh picked fruit (rambutans) in the morning which were delicious. Cute dogs as well.

L’accueil du personnel, leur gentillesse, la beauté des lieux, la super localisation, la nourriture qui était incroyable… Un énorme merci à toute l’équipe du Sumatra Cheeky Monkeys, qui a été aux petits soins avec nous. Une pensée toute particulière pour notre guide Rian, qui nous a guidé à travers la jungle pendant trois jours. Il avait des yeux exceptionnels, qui repéraient tous les animaux, il était calme, bon vivant, très à l’écoute et attentionné. Son ouverture nous a beaucoup touché et nous avons appris énormément à ses côtés, autant sur la faune et la flore de la jungle que sur Bukit Lawang et ses habitants. Encore un énorme merci à lui. On recommande vivement !!
