She knows where to take her guests for local and cheap food, and she even knows some good options for vegetarians. Dila knows many hidden gems in and around Padang and she takes beautiful pictures and amazing videos of the places that she visits with her guests. The room is clean, and breakfast very tasty. I only stayed one night, but Dila already feels like a friend. I highly recommend her place to stay. The accomodation is outside of the center of town but don't let it stop you from staying there. The hospitality is great! Easy communication with the host. Robert was great at getting back to me with questions I had. The place is very clean, comfortable bed. I had an excellent meal there. Hot shower. The view is beautiful. The place is located in a more secluded area, not near the city but very close to the ferry.

JUNGLE LIFE GUEST HOUSE - Trekking & Transport Only Book With Us is set in Bukit Lawang and has a pool with a view and river views. The owner was super helpful and was eager to answer any questions through WhatsApp from the moment we booked. Getting a trek was super easy through him once we arrived and the trek was amazing. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and seemed to always be the first to spot an orangutan out of nowhere. Example: "I smell orangutan poo. Give me one second." Then runs off for two minutes and beckons us over pointing up at the tree to a mama and baby very early on. The bed in our room was amazing. Like a firm memory foam. Same for the pillow. For me, that is an ideal sleep. And the location was great. It was right in the middle of the village, so it was about the same distance left or right to the end of the strip. Can't beat the price.

Borja and YunYun are very accomodating. Services like scooter rental and laundry are offered. There is also a dog (give him some nice scratches to become friends). The bungalows were also very nice.

The guesthouse is located in a quiet area with a nice garden and outside area to relax. The best however was the owner. She gave us great tips and helped us organize our further trip. She owns another guesthouse in Tangkahan where we went on a jungle trip to see the Orang Utan. She made us a good and absolutely fair deal to get there, stay there, do the jungle tour and get back to Medan. We had the time of our life there.

The property was located in a great part of Bukit Lawang and the owner and the staff were very nice and accommodating, quick to arrange anything and help with anything. The room itself was quite good, the bathroom clean. I also did a tour organised by the staff and it was amazing - did only 1 day and saw so many orangutans, we got fresh fruit and lunch and all together it was a wonderful experience!

My experience at Kupu Kupu Guesthouse was absolutely amazing. They have the kindest staff, each and every one of them went out of their way to make the stay special to us! The Kupu Kupu team felt like family, and their service at the guesthouse as well as during the two day jungle trek we did was more than perfect. Rooms are clean and cozy, the view from the guesthouse is beautiful, and the two day trek we did with them is an experience I will never forget! The breakfast is delicious and even the transfers arranged via them were perfect and done by super friendly drivers. Thank you again to the whole team for making our sumatra trip truely wonderful!
