I had a great stay. It’s a small family run business. The room was clean, the water was hot, and everything was great. The owner is super friendly and happy to answer your questions. It’s a short walk to the main plaza. The breakfast was also great, the best I have had so far in all the budget hostels in Peru. Highly recommend.

Staying at El Albergue Ollantaytambo was genuinely one of the best decisions we made on the trip, hands down. First off, the location is perfect. Ollantaytambo itself is a fascinating town with a history to match—it’s the only one still using the Inca grid system! Plus, it offers two great, fun treks: the ruins and the granaries. But the real boon is its position right AT the station, making it the ultimate base for Machu Picchu. Getting up a couple of hours earlier than everyone else for the trek is great, but there's nothing better than coming back and immediately checking in instead of having to deal with another grueling 2-4 hour bus ride back to Cusco. It's also much more comfortable being at 9,500 ft instead of the 11,500 ft elevation of Cusco. Beyond the incredible convenience, El Albergue is simply an exceptional hotel in its own right. The service is beyond reproach; everyone on the property was so incredibly friendly and attentive. It truly makes the entire experience. The rooms are impeccably designed and wonderfully comfortable. I have to specifically shout out the gorgeous art throughout the rooms and common areas—it’s stunning, and seemingly much of it is from the proprietor, Wendy Weeks. The on-site amenities are another huge plus. The restaurant has exceptional food, and breakfast starts early (6 a.m.) with a great variety. You absolutely MUST book the wonderful Pachamanca lunch beforehand. They also have a local coffee roastery and a distillery right there; we had a great tour at both and really enjoyed the products, especially the Matacuy. Oh, and there are the most adorable dogs on the property, too! Overall, El Albergue was one of our favorite stays in Peru. We had a great time and are genuinely looking forward to coming back.

In a renovated XVIII century colonial-style inn, Corihuasi features rooftop views of Cusco historic centre, just 2 blocks from the city’s main square. Wi-Fi is free. We loved the place. Incredible view.

The property was great. It has a beautiful rustic charm fitting of Cusco. The rooms were large, warm, quiet, clean and very comfortable and had great views of the city. The showers were wonderfully hot and bathrooms well kept. Breakfast was fantastic. A great variety of fruit, bread, yogurt, pancakes, and eggs. They also had fresh juice, coffee, and tea. The property had tea, coffee, hot water and filter water available all day which was perfect for enjoying the afternoon on the back verandah. The location was perfect. A easy walk to the city center, shops, restaurantes, and tours. It was an easy location for many tour companies to pick up from the property. The staff were very helpful. They assisted in transport to and from the airport, and stored our luggage while away on a trip until we returned. The property is perfect for solo travelers, couples, and families.

Hosteria de Anita is a lively family-run guest house in the artistic San Blass District, central Cuzco. I loved the garden, the rooms are nice and the breakfast is great.

In Cusco´s San Blas art district, Amaru Inca is set in a colonial house with internal patio and garden, featuring scenic views. Lovely hosts. Nice facilities given the price

Offering a shared lounge and city view, Yanuy Culinary Stay and Taste is set in Cusco, 2.7 km from Wanchaq Train station and 600 metres from San Pedro Train Station. This is the best place in Cusco! The house is cozy, confortable, clean. Michael is the best host, so kind and thoughtful, he gave me lots of recommendations about the city, prepared an amazing breakfast, even to go on tour days. You can lend umbrellas for free, refill the water on the kitchen, tea as you like. It's close to San Pedro Market and Plaza de Armas. I highly recommend Yanuy.

Very nice owner. We did a coffee tour here. The hostel had WiFi, very good showers and comfortable beds. The food is very good! They also offer sandwiches for the hike which were good! The location is also very nice. It’s a bit up the mountain but that’s already on the way for the next day and it has a view.
