What an incredible place in the middle of the Picos De Europa, views were a highlight of our 14 day trip across the Iberian peninsula. We will be back to enjoy the mountains again. The location was fine. Very hard to find the lodging when we arrived in the small hamlet of La Hermida. Heat didn't work the forrst night, but the staff fixed it so it was fine for the second and third nights.

David and his wife are exceptional hosts and really welcomed us as a group. We are doing the Camino de Lebaniego and David helped us with directions , places to eat along the way. Their place is situated next to a river overlooking the valley, little church and the ancient pilgrim way...very peaceful, restful place with the sound of running water a constant. The village has just been voted the prettiest village in Cantabria...
