We loved being in nature - Nagano is so beautiful and this location was a very special place to rest relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The staff are so warm and friendly and the food was incredible - you will not go hungry at this hotel! We loved the care that the staff put into each meal and every detail of the space. We also loved the Onsen experience and found the facility to be very clean and easy to use. Our rooms were very clean and spacious, comfortable and enjoyable. We loved our visit and hope to return!

The best service we've ever had anywhere. Chie was essentially like our personal attendant, helping us with everything including serving dinner, making reservations, and even calling around to find a place that had my size snowboarding boot rental at a local ski resort. She made the experience for us that much better.

The staff here was superb! They went out of their way to accommodate us when we made a transportation error — not only coming to pick us up at Nagano Station but also holding dinner for us despite our very late arrival. This was the best and kindest customer service we have ever received. Once there, we were impressed by the incredible meals (both dinner and breakfast)! Impeccable detail, delicious flavor, beautiful presentation and a wonderful variety of local foods. This was one of our favorite meals ever (and we have eaten in some special places). After dinner we were able to enjoy a private onsen — one for my husband and me, one for the three teenagers. Everything about Fukeikan made me want to come back again, and I hope I don’t have to wait too long to do so.

A place with character. Host able to give you a lift to places of interest around the area. A very responsive host and accommodation had a well equipped kitchen. Host put thought into making our stay comfortable (hot water bottle in blanket to keep us warm at night).

The atmosphere, the spa, the friendly owner who speaks fluent English! In the case of this accommodation, I can only praise it. The biggest surprise was the owner himself, who was very welcoming and willing to us. It happened to me for the first time that my own name would welcome me next to the entrance!
