We liked everything! From the welcome basket of fruit, local treats, and custom mugs, to the gorgeously decorated interior, to the generous hosts going above and beyond to make our stay excellent, we loved the São Brás Luxury Home. It's clear that every detail of this house was thoughtfully chosen to give guests a comfortable and memorable experience. We really appreciated the extra touches such as milk and eggs, and delicious local cheese in the fridge for us, the robes and slippers, and the bottle of sparkling wine that we enjoyed in the jacuzzi! The hosts were so friendly and helpful, gave us lots of recommendations, and even helped us figure out which gas to put in our rental car when we called desperately from a gas station (thank you Luís!) Luís also gave us a bit of a history of the house, and of the art pieces in the house, which really made our experience more personal. It's also the perfect location from which to explore the entire island, away from the more touristy areas. São Brás is a beautiful area, and the view from the backyard is stunning!

The location was perfect, just steps away from the beautiful Praia dos Moinhos. The house is situated in the center of the island, which makes it very easy to get around and explore all the great sights and attractions that the island has to offer.

This is a fantastic place to stay! It is in a rural community and you get to interact with the neighbors regularly. It’s a classic old azores house along a road next to other houses. The house has been recently renovated and is tastefully decorated. It has a covered gazebo seating area above the house that has a view of the sea. This is in a very beautiful area of the island. It’s only a 10 minute drive to the large town of Ribeira grande so you can easily get anything you need there.

Beautiful house in the small village of Porto Formosa. Stunning views of the church and bay from the rooftop garden. Owner was quick to respond to any questions and had some great restaurant recommendations. Great coffee bar and grocery store about 10 meters away. Highly recommend this villa.

It was a perfect spot for us. The view and sounds of the waves of Praia dos Moinhos was wonderful to wake up and fall asleep to. It was a quaint little town that was quiet, away from the busy streets but quite accessible to many attractions and areas of interest.

Deborah and Davide are wonderful hosts and you immediately feel like visiting good friends in their cool island home. They put all their hearts in making this place special. You can trust all their recommendations that also include some hidden gems you wouldn't hear about anywhere else! Two hilarious cats are a bonus ;) The room is sunny and spacious, with a nice terrace. With the well equipped shared kitchen, cool backyard and free parking across the street you got everything you need for a comfortable stay. Porto Formoso may seem quaint but there is so much within a short ride distance!
