I am a world traveller and rarely have I been better welcomed by a tourist facility. The owner's openess and friedly attitude, the clean room, the local produce, the surroundings - they have all contributed to a memorable stay in Byurakan. A little difficult to find if you're using Google Maps, but Yandex gets you there with no problems. 30 minutes via a relatively bad (though paved and manageable with almost any car) road gets you to the superb Aragats Sanctuary. Appreciated the night talks with the owner and his kind checking on my wellbeing. Absolutely recommended to anyone looking for a true Armenian experience in one of the nicest regions in the country!
