Cheap hotels in Root

Well located , owner very welcoming and knowledgeable

Received a free upgrade to a room with an evening view of the sunset on the mountains. The room was huge! Bed was comfy and held multiple pillows. Robert was very conscientious and remembered our breakfast order every day. Easy transport into Luzern. Would highly recommend staying here.

It was clean and staff was very nice.

easy to check in, but read your instructions, before you arrive, park the car out side in the space drop off and check-in, over the road their is a car park use the phone in the lobby to call reception and they will log your car in, very easy. You need a disk in the window of the car to tell the car park wardens what time you parked the car and you need a disk in the window to tell the time, I used my disk from Northumberland which did the same thing, but ask the hotel when you check the car in about the disk.

Friendly and polite staff! Good location not far away from Train station.

Loved the location, decor and price! Staff was friendly and helpful!

The view from this accommodation is unbeatable, the best we had in our whole 3 weeks roadtrip in Switzerland. There are different types of rooms, each with its own design and cost. We had the one with lake view and it was fantastic. They also have a restaurant on site, tried it once and the food was delicious. Reaching the lake is relatively easy on foot in about 10 minutes. The ferry terminal and cable car to Rigi are also within walkable distances (15-30 minutes), so there are plenty of things to do for a few days in the area.

“Some places don’t just host you… they embrace you.” This was not just a property… it truly felt like a home away from home. Every single detail in the apartment reflected thoughtfulness and care. Everything I needed was already there… and even things I didn’t expect had been beautifully arranged. It was as if the host had anticipated not just requirements… but emotions. The owner must be a wonderful human being—deeply sensitive to the needs of a traveller. That goodness clearly reflects in the way the entire space has been created and maintained. What touched me most was a strange but beautiful feeling… I did not feel like using anything unnecessarily… Instead, I felt a sense of responsibility to keep the place clean and well maintained—because such spaces are rare, and such hosts even rarer. In a world where stays are often transactional… this one felt personal, warm, and meaningful. May God bless the host with continued abundance… because they are not just offering a place to stay… they are creating an experience of care and trust.

Nice parking spot, few stops to center and great breakfast.

Exceptional view with lake surrounded by mountains.

The apartment was great. Very comfortable. Very well taken care off and clean. Had everything we needed for our stay. Location was excellente. Definetely will stay there again in our next visit to Lucerne.

The guy who welcomed me was funny and laid back, very helpful 👌

The guy is very friendly and I was grateful to be able to do our laundry.

Location: The hotel is located in walkable distance from the city centre. It's situated on fifth floor of the building and can be accessed through lift. Service: The whole hotel doesn't have a single staff. The check-in process is completed online and you then receive door codes for the building, hotel door and your capsule. But you have the support available online incase of any queries. You can also use the booking confirmation number to check-in through GOKI app. The advantage of using app is that you can unlock the doors using your phone without manually entering the codes. The hotel also provides you lockers but you have to get your own lock. The hotel shares a kitchen and small social area with a co-working facility in the building. It has 3 shared, unisex bathrooms. The rooms are cleaned between stays.
