This is such a little gem! We stayed in Room 5. Beautifully decorated, thoroughly cleaned, a fabulous nights sleep and breakfast was exceptional (Compliments to the Chef!!). Daryl was very welcoming, as were the front house staff through to housekeeping. You will not be disappointed when you stay here!

A boutique country hotel nestled in the North East of England, 15 minutes from the magnificent city of Durham and all that it has to offer.

Booked very short notice as our ferry was cancelled due to bad weather, what a beautiful hotel. Margaret on reception checked us in, what a lovely friendly lady, she upgraded our room. The restaurant guy carried our cases up to the room, the breakfast staff were so helpful and friendly. The hotel its self is so beautiful and clean, cant wait to go back next year. The staff are a real asset to the company.10/10 + if it were possible
