If you are traveling to Rieti to visit the places of St Francis this is the Perfect place! 15 minutes from all of them , you right in the middle! You can see Greccio across the beautiful valley from the little cottage , up the side of the mountain. Private drive and parking. Comfortable little apartment, kitchen has everything you need with a grocery store close by. The sun shining in your window and the birds singing in the morning is how you will wake up…cant say enough about the owners, the privacy, the beauty, the serenity of this great place!

Great place if you want to escape from everything! Very nice and spacious italian house with beautiful garden. Our only regret - we couldn't spend more time to enjoy it.

Host welcomed us; always ready and flexible to help. Spacious place at the outskirts of Contiglione, easy parking and amenities are close. Greccio and Cascata delle Marmore are only a few minutes drive away. Assisi, Spoleto and Cascia are an hour drive from the place. Rieti is also close. Various breakfast items were prepared by the host and place had a working open fireplace where we grilled pork sausages bought from the local butcher. The historical centre of Contilgione can be reached by foot. The borgo is built on a hill and one can ramble the narrow streets to enjoy the small rustic houses and open views of the nearby central Appennini and valleys.

cosy little house in spectacular setting , ideal for two- summer or winter, if you want to get away. High point was breakfast outside in the sun looking across to the mountains, the valleys below lost in mist.
