Extremely helpful staff. Free drink tickets and provided food options in the new years holiday. Excellent location and great clean rooms, plus an indoor staircase and bicycle parking!

The house's location is on the side of a mountain, surrounded beautifully by nature. Despite arriving VERY late, we were received and treated kindly. Additionally, at no fault of the owner's, there was a mistake with the reservation and the owner did not have room for 2 women. Despite this, the owner found a place for us. The place is FILLED with cats!! The cats are healthy, friendly, playful, and gentle. When it was time to sleep, they joined us on the futons but did not annoy us. If you're sensitive to noise it might be a little noisy, but I found it relaxing, and it reminded me of my cat back home. The owner is unbelievably kind, and I cannot say enough nice things about our stay. If you are a cat lover, please stay here!

I loved everything about the place. It had gorgeous scenery and the other guest where terrific to talk to and get to know. The staff was the best people I've meet in Japan. The staff was extremely friendly and a joy to be around.

It’s a special experience to stay in a submarine concept hostel. Not a submarine fan but I did also enjoy it, especially given this is what the city is famous for. Room is spacious and clean. Location is also convenient from the ferry and JR.
