I liked everything about this property… so much charm, a real colonial-style palace; wonderful owners and staff… but with affordable prices and the ability to use the kitchen and “feel at home”. This detached single story, single family dwelling is in a fairly new subdivision (Las Americanas Stage 6) north of Merida allowing for a 15 minute drive to the beaches of Progresso or 15 minute drive to the cultural and shopping centres of Centro. There is an OXXO at the end of the street with a Bodega Aurrera across the street from the OXXO, with a couple of family based restaurants withing a few blocks. All in all a great location. The front garage and the rear courtyard with pool and grill area are convenient. Host was responsive when we ran out of propane - it was refilled within two hours.
