Ambiance: - Rich Victorian atmosphere with original woodwork, high ceilings, and antique furnishings. - Each corner is visually stunning, offering a luxurious and opulent feel. Rooms: - Only 6 rooms available, ensuring a personalized and intimate stay. - Rooms are beautifully appointed with fine linens, modern bathrooms, and thoughtful amenities like a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to toast to new beginnings. - Some rooms even feature fireplaces for an extra touch of romance. - And the pièce de résistance? Soaking clawfoot tubs! The luxurious touch adds a whole new level of relaxation to your stay. The hotel's rich history is a definite draw for tourists. I have stayed there before a couple of times -- always excellent and comfortable. (I wish I'd had time to enjoy the pool and hot tub on this visit.) The location on the main road leading into Ashland makes it easy to find, and was perfect for my meeting just a few blocks in the other direction. With the supermarket right across the street, it's easy to pick up snacks and save a little money (so you can splurge on dinners). I've stayed there before when attending plays, and it's easy to walk or drive to the theater, with some nice restaurants along the way. I was impressed by the breakfast offerings (and by the staff who monitored the food/supplies/cleanup).

Such a wonderful surprise to pay so little and receive so much!! The staff waited for me to arrive 15 min past closing time, the rooms were very well appointed with everything I look for, including extra clean, a “good enough” mattress( it was firm :) and coffee at the ready. The shower was extra special and seemed brand new.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nicely decorated and clean. Lots of Shakespeare-related pictures and motif. The breakfast was sufficient and nice to have. Parking was plentiful when I was there, but it was not Shakespeare season. I was able to benefit from last-minute off-season rates. They have a lot of rooms there. I could see it getting very crowded. The location is great.

I stay here every time I travel down to California. The front desk staff are always friendly and efficient. The rooms are always clean and cozy, and I appreciate the free breakfast. Great value for the price!

Driving up the twisty roads to get to this place was an exciting adventure - and what a beautiful area once we got there! We didn’t talk to any of the staff, because of the excellent check-in communications and keyless process provided. We went for a really wonderful hike in the morning, and it was lovely all around.

EVERYTHING! What a gem. I feel so lucky to have found it. The home is big, well appointed, sunny & in the woods! Communication was prompt when needed. All requests were granted. It was very private & such a treat to stay in. I hope to be back sooner than later 🦋
