The traditional Family-Hostel SPANNORT with common kitchen and self check-in is located right in the centre of Engelberg, close to the train station. Amazing value for this stay. We went there with my in-laws, it was very nice to have the option to cook at their facilities the days when we didn’t feel like going out. The staff is super friendly, it’s very well located next to the bus station that takes you to the ski lift. The rooms are pretty cute, a little on the small side but it didn’t bother me at all. I saw some people complained about noise, you can hear what’s going on on the hallway on occasion but it’s pretty well insulated from room to room, so it also didn’t bother us. We would stay there again for sure when we go back!

We were met on arrival at the property by Askar, who was very friendly and professional. We had a dedicated parking space, and the property exceeded our expectations. It was very big. Bathrooms in every room. Laundry space. Kitchen with all equipment. And a sauna inside also. We have never experienced such high quality or luxury accommodation in Europe as this. Something we are accustomed to in the Middle and Far East. The service level and the property and location were superb. We appreciated the daily cleaning and they had great attention to detail refilling coffee and water and so on. Thank you team for this experience.
