Omar and his family are some of the kindest people I have ever met. While I was there, I came down with a very bad sickness My husband and friend were gone to explore while I was home sick and my fever got very high. I messaged Omar to ask if they had any medicine I could take, and his family ended up offering to take me to the local doctor, who they had to call to come in because it was after hours. The family kept checking on me afterwards to see if I was doing okay. They were also very patient talking to me with my limited Spanish! They even baked us fresh bread! They really helped me so much and I am very grateful for their kindness and hospitality. In addition to the host family being so nice, the cabin itself is nice and has exactly what you would want to visit the Rio Tranquilo area. It is across the street from the lake and located on the family's land where they have sheep and chickens. The location is very peaceful. I highly recommend staying here, it is a great choice.
