Elos has a welcoming charm. Her son greeted me on a horse and showed me the way. The room had a heater but I didn't use it. The food was my favourite on this 4 days hike. It was the only place that offered chicken. There was a red lentils soup that was really delicious. One of the men offered me beer, wine and chacha (a little too much). The place was an extra 2km to hike here from Iprali but you can take the small hiking path indicated on maps.me. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good as well. One of the men gave me apples for my hike. Madloba Elos and company ☺️

The location is directly in town. The owner was so kind to take care of our washing after finishing the mestia to Ushguli hike. There is a kitchen for communal use and a seating area in the garden.

It is a comfortable and peaceful guesthouse with super-friendly hosts. Mamuka told us a lot about what to see around the village, his father Teimuraz shared some stories about Ushguli, and his mom Lela treated us with fresh milk and cooked us an amazing breakfast. Whatever question we had, they were always there to help. They also showed us their very special art gallery of Fridon Nizharadze who was Teimuraz’ brother.
