Very nice hotel, close to entrance to Petra (2 min walk, though up on a hill). Do not mix with a neighboring Petra Moon (4 stars). Nice room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Clean. Very helpful staff. Solid breakfast, with a little bit limited choice of standard European food. Swimming pool under renovation but reception sent us to another hotel (7-8 min drive) where we enjoyed swimming in an amazing swimming pool.

It turned out to be even better than what I had imagined. From the very first day, it just felt warm, safe, and familiar like home. The people here are what make this place so special. The staff are genuinely kind and caring, and Rasul especially went above and beyond for us. Whether it was helping us order food, telling us where to go and what to expect in Petra, or fixing even the smallest issues in the room, he was always there, always helpful, and always smiling. That kind of care stays with you. The food was incredible. The buffet breakfast/dinner gave us the perfect introduction to authentic Jordanian cuisine. Everything was so tasty, and it felt really special to be able to try a bit of everything and truly experience traditional Jordanian food. Every meal felt comforting and made with love. The rooftop bar was one of my favourite parts of this place. The vibe is just something else, so chill, so welcoming. I met such beautiful people from all over the world, including volunteers working at the bar, and we shared some really unforgettable moments together. It’s the kind of place where you come as strangers and leave feeling connected. I had some of my best days in Jordan here. Leaving Nomads was genuinely emotional for me, because some places just have that energy that stays with you. Even now, after leaving, the feeling this place gave me still lingers in my heart. The hotel looks exactly like the pictures, the vibe is cool and relaxed, and everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful. I honestly have zero complaints, everything felt perfect in its own way. If you’re visiting Petra, this place is a must. Stay here, feel the vibe, meet the people, and you’ll understand exactly what I mean. I already can’t wait to go back and relive it all again.

Let’s start by saying I am very well traveled and have stayed in plenty of 5 star hotels all over the world. I chose this hotels because I knew I would spend very little time there and it was walking distance from Petra. I was actually pleasantly surprised how neat and equipped the hotel was. The owner/manager was the loveliest human. When we came in he took a map of Petra and gave us the tips and tricks and how to explore Petra, including time each route would take there and what people would try to sell us. He was very responsive. On our way out I saw him outside and we didn’t have breakfast running out and he just grabbed bananas and apples from the store next door and gave to us for the road. There is a store downstairs super cheap with everything you need. Try the ice expresso on a can (amazing). Breakfast starts at 6am with an amazing view. It’s a modest breakfast but they also make you omelet I just don’t like eggs. The area is super safe, the Jordanian people are just so sweet and not pushy at all (except for the ones trying to get you on a horse at Petra), but even they are sweet and only ask once, it’s just a lot of them. Also unlike other surrounding countries, they really do not expect money for everything. Everyone in this hotel refused getting tipped. Anyhow shower pressure is great. Bathroom clean with all things you may need. Bed and pillows were comfortable and room temp was good. Room gets pitched black which I love and it’s very quiet area. Little town 5 min drive (we had a rental car parking free right in front). His cousin owns a restaurant in town and it’s affordable and great food. I wish you the best time in Petra. Definitely save money and stay here. You will not regret. It’s not a 5 star but it’s cozy, clean, and enough for couple days in Petra.

It is indescribable how beautiful this place is, we spent 2 incredible nights, the lighting of the rock mountain at night is a unique experience, Mohamed and Michelle were very hospitable and helped us a lot with their recommendations, we would always return. We recommend them 100%, they are the best! 🙏🏼

I had the pleasure of staying at Al-Nawatef ECO Camp in Dana Nature Reserve, and it was truly one of the best stays I've ever had. The service was exceptional—easily the best I've experienced. The camp offers an authentic taste of Bedouin life, making the experience all the more memorable. Mohammed and Ibrahim from Yemen were incredible hosts, always ensuring our tea cups were full without delay. We planned a hike to Wadi Ghuweir, and while the transportation cost was 30 JD per person, Abu Bilal kindly suggested alternative options that helped us save money. He was an honest and deeply principled man, making our experience even more special. This was a stay I will never forget, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic and heartwarming experience.
