The rooms were a really lovely combination of Japanese and Western styles. Shower and bathroom area were very fancy. The lobby was wonderful for an early arrival - we left our bags locked up, made coffee and resettled our things for an outing to the Peace park before check-in. The main door and rooms use codes to get in, and once the desk is not 'manned' this makes entry very convenient. Lots of restaurants and grocery within blocks. Peace Park is about 10-15 min walk through an easy neighborhood. Really liked this hotel.

The staff made us feel welcome, well cared for, and were very friendly. We would definitely stay again.

宮島 町家宿 進龍庵 ligger i Miyajima, 2,4 km fra Tsutsumigaura Strand, 5 minutters gang fra Five Storey Pagoda og 700 m fra Itsukushima-helligdommen. Her er en balkon og gratis wi-fi. One of the absolute highlights of our time in Japan. The house is a beautifully restored ryokan with excellent modern facilities, on a quiet street just a 5 minute walk from central Miyajimacho. Our host was incredibly generous and accommodating, greeting us with tea and treats and recommendations. She made us feel very welcome. As a base for our hike of Mt Misen, it was perfect. Miyajima is a busy place for daytrippers from Hiroshima, so staying overnight gave us the chance to see the island practically deserted in the morning and evening hours: a perfect way to see Itsukushima Shrine and Daisho-in Temple earlier in the day, before the crowds arrive, and even to wander out at low tide after dark to touch the base of the great, "floating" torii gate. Highly, highly recommend Shintatsuan as a place to stay!

The place was designed beautifully. The beds were comfortable, the tub was perfect, and the kitchen had just what we needed. The location was absolutely perfect! The location is within the old historical quarter, close to shops and restaurants.
