The host welcomed us in person and gave us a thorough briefing on the facilities.

We loved the location, the cleanliness, the host communication and especially things like the small touches - fresh local orange juice, fresh local sorbets and more. The bathroom had wonderful shower and bath with great pressure. We could not fault it for a lovely stay in Ainan.

The owner and his wife was really friendly & helpful. We arrived late in the evening after a full day of cycling and we were immediately greeted with complimentary fresh oranges and a hot cut of honey lemon tea. They even helped us pre-booked a nearby restaurant for dinner which was definitely a plus! We would highly recommend anyone to stay here if you are cycling from Onomichi to Imabari (The Shimanami Kaido route).

Paret som driver stället är så trevliga. Hade gjort illa mig på cykeln och de ordande sårtvätt och plåster. De hjälpte mig även att ringa och hjälpa mig boka mitt nästa boende. Så hjälpsamma och trevliga. De pratade bra engelska. Rekommenderar starkt!

Masashi-san and Mamiko-san made me feel at home. The property is a bit uphill, so you end up getting incredible views on Omishima island, and there's also a nice rock garden. Food options on the island are limited so I appreciated the lovely dinner after a long day's ride, and I also appreciate the vegen option offered 🙏🏻 all in all, would definitely recommend staying here! Amazing location along the Shiminami Kaido. The kitchen was stocked with snacks and late arrival food. The whole place was clean, beautifully restored, and our host was lovely.

Our host was very kind and helpful - we arrived soaking wet after a day of biking in the rain, and our host helped us dry our clothes and shoes with a heater. She also booked us a restaurant for dinner since there weren't very many nearby and they required reservations.

This lovely traditional Japanese house was a wonderful place to stay on our bike trip. While neither party could speak the other's language very well, we were able to communicate fine. The luxury touches in the beautiful and spacious rooms made everything feel welcoming. If you like fish, make sure to order the kaiseki meal that the hosts will prepare for you. It is worth every penny. They also offer a simple but elegant breakfast included in the stay. We started calling this the "it's all downhill from here house" because we knew we wouldn't be staying in anything as grand for the rest of our trip.
