Arnold gave us all the information we needed to navigate Lamu on arrival and organised some wonderful trips for us as well as a Swahili cooking lesson. Breakfast was generous and the rooms comfortable. I would definitely recommend JamboHouse! We will stay again on our next trip.

Staff are friendly and unobtrusive.

Shela Bliss se encuentra a 4 min a pie de Manda Beach y ofrece alojamiento con salón de uso común, terraza y cocina compartida. La atención fue magnífica y muy personalizada. Me escribieron antes de llegar, lo cual facilitó mucho la logística de los tours. Además, me orientaron muy bien sobre actividades, restaurantes y cosas para hacer. Reservé los tours con ellos y estuvieron excelentes, tanto el tour de Old Town Lamu, fishing tour y el sunset boat tour. El desayuno estuvo muy bueno. El primer día pedí el desayuno swahili, que era muchísimo, y luego otros días comí el desayuno más internacional con huevos, pan, etc. Recomiendo muchísimo el lugar y Abdalla fue above and beyond en sus atenciones, servicio y conversaciones.

Chris is an amazing host. The house is lovely, perfectly located and very reasonably priced. I was solo travelling and felt very safe at Sai Shanti!

Very warm and friendly reception. Beyond expectations! We were initially doubting to book due to a false comment of bathroom privacy issue, but we took chances and had a lovely stay, bathroom/shower is separated with locking mechanism from both sides. Host is super friendly, and greets/welcomes from Jetty, and even from Airport offers pickup service, which feels like home. We broke a glass accidently and they were cool about it too. Very accommodating, always at service to take us around as historical alleys there don't show up in Maps. We will return for sure.

Madakani House dispone de jardín, zona de playa privada, salón de uso común y terraza en Lamu. El hostal o pensión está a unos 3 min a pie de Playa de Shela y a pocos pasos de Mnarani House. The staff were amazing - so friendly and attentive. We have a young family and they were great with the children too. The house is a beautiful old Swahili house. The rooms are on the upper floors meaning there is a nice breeze to keep you cool at night and during the day. We have 2 small children and easily fitted into one family room. There was also a great roof terrace for sundowners and/or dinner each night. Location was very convenient - a couple of minutes walk to the beach. Edwin was very helpful in organising dhows, dinner and bonfire in the dunes etc. We will definitely be back!
