After a very tiring journey, Adique Resort was a fantastic landing spot to recover from the journey. A beautiful boutique hotel, a wonderfully spacious room with a stunning view of the Indian Ocean. Do not search for 4 or 5 star hotels. This hotel is more than sufficiënt. The hotel manager let us check in earlier, in the morning so we could catch up on sleep. Sea Sand Resort features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Kalpitiya. The property is around 200 metres from Kandakuliya Beach, 600 metres from Kudawa Beach and 2.1 km from Kalpitiya Beach. We stayed only one night at the beginning of the season in Kalpitiya, and we had a great stay here. The chalets are spacious, modern and super clean, the bathrooms were huge as well. The courtyard had also a great vibe with the sand and the palm trees providing some shade. The staff were super friendly and accommodating - we also had breakfast here and coffee, both were great choices.

Roshan, his family, and his staff provided an exceptional experience. They helped arrange transportation both to and from their resort. The food was exceptional and exceeded all expectations and included fresh salad with dinner as well as a protein option and local cuisine that was home cooked. The room was clean, spacious, and beautiful. The safari experience was great, and our driver made sure we saw as many animals as possible. We traveled with a little kid and we also appreciated that our daughter had his daughter to play with.

It's a great place to start or end your stay in beautiful Sri Lanka. Only 30 minutes away from the busy airport, you arrive through a beautiful alley of mangrove trees to be greeted by the great team of Ging Oya. Imasha, Romesh, Nilantha and all the other staff make you feel right at home. The food is freshly prepared and tastes great. The pool is clean, large and a nice way to cool down. If you like nature and some quiet time, you should definitely plan to stay at Ging Oya. I know, I will again next time!

With garden views, Agro Village Resort, Kalpitiya is set in Kalpitiya and has a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. This property offers access to a terrace, darts, free private parking and free... Very quiet relaxing spot with well designed units. The service and food were excellent. An enjoyable 15 minute bicycle (they are free) ride to Elements Resort on the beach. The owner Anushka is a wealth of knowledge and was able to organize dolphin watching and onward travel for a reasonable price.

Set in Kalpitiya, a few steps from Kudawa Beach, Windy Waves Beach Nature Resort & Kite School offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a shared lounge. The receptionist was super lovely and all the staff were kind. Breakfast and food in general is good. And the bar area is perfect. Even some people from other hotels come there to have dinner, so even though it is a calm place it has a lively atmosphere and ocean views. That's important if you are staying few days Working WiFi in the room.

Set in Wilpattu, The Backwaters Lodge offers accommodation with seating area. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The food and service at The Backwater's Lodge was exceptional and even though we missed our flight connection they rearranged everything without any issue. I recommend a swim in the river after a day safari!
