The breakfast at the hotel was the best one we had during our stay in Mexico and we went quite a few places. We tried the restaurant at dinner as well and it was very good. The location was perfect as it is quite central and less than a 10 min walk to the central plaza. Much like most first-time tourists in Mexico, initially we thought we would only use Uber for safety reasons but we felt very safe and walked at all times of the day (and night). In the evening the area has people around but it's not noisy. Honestly, this was the best value-for-money booking I've had in a long time. Three of the four rooms we booked were enormous and the queen size beds were incredibly comfortable.

Located less than 5 minutes’ walk from Palacio de Iturbide Museum and Torre Latino, Hotel Histórico Central offers Colonial-style architecture and free WiFi connection in all areas. The hotel was beautiful, centrally located and smelled wonderful. The decor was very nice, they had many amenities and a lot of things were within walking distance making it easy to enjoy being a tourist.

This area has so much to offer - so many historic sites, tours, restaurants, shopping and it's a very safe to walk around. The breakfast in the restaurant on the 6th floor was really nice. You have your choice of the buffet or you can order a la carte and we did both. The staff, especially Estaban, are extremely friendly. The 24 hour cafe on the main floor of the hotel was also a pleasant surprise! This was included in our stay at no extra charge. They had a variety of drinks (including beer), sandwiches, salads, soups, and snacks. It was nice to have fridge with cold bottles of water on our room level as well.
